Preventing Swimmer’s Ear: Tips from a Rocklin, CA Urgent Care Center

Like most people, you probably don’t have fond memories of swimming classes during P.E. Perhaps, then, it should come as no surprise why many Americans can’t swim. This isn’t just speculation. According to the American Red Cross, approximately 44% of adults in the country don’t know basic water-safety skills. These include capabilities like being able to jump into water that’s higher than your head, staying afloat in water for at least 60 seconds, and being able to swim for 25 yards.

Luckily, facilities like Mike Shellito Indoor Pool offer swimming lessons for both kids and adults. Of course, learning to swim takes time, which means that you’ll spend quite a few hours in the pool. Thus, if you’re not careful, you might develop swimmer’s ear.
